We've had a plumbing situation in our bathroom, which thankfully, finally got resolved. I've taken several pictures of the mess and I will be posting about it on my IndependentWorld4U blog.
Anyway, the bathroom debacle forced me to take a good hard look at the the room itself and even though we've done a few things here and there to make it look nicer, it's still an ugly bathroom. A while back, we decided to make the vanity/sink nicer.
Okay, so not bad, right? We didn't touch the floor but every time I go in that bathroom, between the ugly tile on the walls and the dark and dreary looking floor, I just cringe.
Kind of tough to see the photo but believe me, it's ugly. I have even sworn on a few occasions I could see images of people's faces in this floor - CREEPY! I've been tinkering around with the idea of using porcelain tile for the floor. I don't know, anything at this point would make it look nicer than it is.
I definitely know that a full on remodel will need to be done but that will involve a major plumbing overhaul which will include the kitchen as well. We need to seriously plan for that.
