Recently, I was contacted via email by Cherie Burbach, the author of
'Internet Dating Is Not Like Ordering a Pizza' and she offered to send me the book to read and review.

I got the book and have finished reading it. I thoroughly enjoyed it, even though I am in a relationship, this book sure brought back memories for me when it comes to internet dating and man, I sure wish I would have had this book back then!
Actually, my ex-husband and I met through a local radio station's date line - that was even before internet dating was popular! Oh how I would have loved a book like this then even!

First, let me give you a bit of background on the author:

"Cherie Burbach used her experience with meeting her husband online to pen At the Coffee Shop, a humorous look at the world of Internet dating. Cherie went on over 60 coffee dates in just six months. She met lots of great people and one of those turned out to be the guy she would marry just one year later.

She is the Dating Feature Writer for Suite101, an online magazine with over 10 million views monthly, and also the author of three poetry books, including A New Dish and The Difference Now. Her latest, Father's Eyes, has received the 2008 Editor's Choice Award by Allbooks Review."

Now, on to the book:

First of all, it's an easy read. This book was set up easily and is written just as if she's talking to you. There are tons of examples on what to do and what not to do when using dating sites. Cherie even gives advice regarding the best way to set up your profile.

Online dating etiquette is covered, there is a useful question and answer section and excellent resources listed in the back of the book.

If you're single and want to give internet dating a try or you've already tried and didn't have a good experience, I highly recommend reading this book and then giving it a whirl!

My children never had colic but I do know some people who have had to deal with it. My mother in law is studying natural medicine and I often ask her for alternative treatments to certain aliments.

Recently I came across a natural medicine to help with colic. I actually asked my mother in law about this - Colic Calm - and she was very impressed with all the information available on the website. She agreed that this was a great alternative to use for infant reflux - which, after reading about it, I am so glad my kiddos didn't have to go through that.

I have gotten asked several times over the last few months how I got started working from home. I actually have a blog dedicated to just that. It's called 'The Journey to Here' and it's all about my journey to where I am now.

I remember when I first began all this, I was looking online for sales manager jobs because I thought if I can 'sell' a product simply by reviewing it, maybe that was the type of job I should have.

I have come to find that I would much rather work for myself =)

Earlier this month I blogged about a handmade scarf I had gotten from my friend Diane. That scarf is made from Organic Bamboo and I absolutely love it so you can imagine how thrilled I am to have found organic baby clothes also made from Bamboo!

Wow, this blog is really taking off on the review side! I totally love doing reviews! However, being the socialite that I am, my blog has to have some personal flair in it. Did you see the recent post about what my son Wyatt did with the permanent blue marker? UGH!

I manage several blogs, you can see the list on the sidebar of this blog. One blog, Just One More Makes 4 was supposed to be a 'trying to conceive' journey type blog but it quickly turned into more of a weight loss journey blog. My husband and I are both trying to lose about 40 pounds before our Disney vacation at the end of April. Both of us lost a good amount in the first month I was even asked if we were using any kind of weight loss product and we weren't and we're still not.

As some of you know, I've been helping a friend plan a wedding. I've gotten the usual planning type tasks given to me but the most recent was helping her find the best quality and design wedding band for her husband to be.

Wow - talk about a huge deal! I began searching and almost immediately came across Titanium-Jewelry.com and noticed they have Benchmark Tungsten Rings and that my friends, is something to blog about!

Being the mommy of 3 kiddos, ages 5, 3 and 2 - I have seen plenty of toys come and go. I have seen those toys that I swore would rock the casbah - completely bore my kids. There is one brand though, that has never disappointed; Playmobil Toys

I almost forgot to post about the 'bad' day I had this week. It all started with wrong coffee pot placement, resulting in fresh brewed coffee landing all over my counter top and kitchen floor. UGH

Ahh yes, I can't even go to the bathroom anymore! Dante and Olivia were in school so Wyatt was the only one home with me. He's usually up my butt however, the almighty SpongeBob was on tv so I took a moment to go to the bathroom. I returned to find blue permanent marker all over Wyatt, my walls, my desk and my computer keyboard and mouse!

Mr Clean Eraser got most of it off, but I killed my keyboard with it. I wasn't even thinking - I was so freaked out.

I've been asked for help with a lot of things. Planning weddings, bridal showers, baby showers, relationship help - and now I was asked if I know any good immigration attorneys and all I did was a Google search for the information.

Personally, no, I don't know any and I wish I could be of more help. Immigration has been and still is a very heated and touchy subject. Leave me out of it!

To add to my bad day - which, yea, I will clue you in on as soon as I get the photos uploaded - yes, there are PHOTOS of my craptastic day - this weather is WEIRD! It was in the 50's today and snow is forecasted!

So, this wacky weather got CJ thinking about our landscaping job for he spring. We're thinking shrubs to line the one part of the fence area and maybe Elm trees instead of the standard maple trees we've always had.

So anyway, tell me, what are some great landscaping tips?

Making coffee and suddenly the coffee is flowing out of the coffee maker, all over the counter top and down to the floor. Yea, gonna be a bad day...and it was.

So, not only do I need to be on the look out for kitchen faucets - since ours is acting up, but I am definitely going to need to look into doing something for the counter tops. Redo what we have? Get brand new ones? I have no idea.

I am a candle fanatic. I love to burn scented candles, especially since we have a dog - hey, I can only bathe him so many times!

In the Winter time I burn candles much more often than in the Summer. I tried these WoodWick Green candles and I love them!

First of all, they are 100% Veggie wax, which is a renewable resource and environmentally friendly! Now, I used to love soy wax candles and I still do but in doing a bit of investigation, on my part, I have found that veggie wax holds more scent than soy wax alone and in my opinion, makes for the strongest scented candles I have ever used.

Secondly, I love to hear the 'crackle' of the wooden wick.

My good friend Diane sells scarves, face cloths, potholders, etc... and they are all handmade by her.

She made a blanket for Dante back in December and he loves it. I recently ordered a scarf from her and I received it today! It's made from bamboo and it is sooo soft!

I tried to take the best photos I could but really, they don't this scarf justice. It is so beautifully made and very soft!

My husband and I really enjoy watching mixed martial arts when we get the chance. It's actually really interesting to watch. I know there's a huge controversy over it these days though.

Okay girls - I know it may be completely unheard of to go anywhere without a purse or tote but there are times when it's necessary to pack light! For me, those times come up often and many times I have thought about just grabbing my wallet and leaving my purse behind but I never do because my wallet is a bulky mess.
