For my daughter's birthday, my mom thought it'd be cute to order Personalized M&M's and put them in the gift bags that are given to the birthday party guests.
Here is my review: They turned out awesome! It's a totally cool idea and it was super easy to do. All you need to do is visit the M&M's website and go to the section to create personalized M&M's - upload a picture, type what you want the M&M's to have written on them and pick colors and how you want them packaged. Viola! DONE!
Here is how Olivia's turned out:
The downside? The price. It was over $80 for 20 small tins of these M&M's! A cute idea for a very special event.
In anticipation of my family's upcoming Disney vacation, I have decided that doing reviews of at least the restaurants we eat at is something I want to do.
I will definitely be posting a trip report to my Family Disney Vacations blog but I will also post any reviews here on this blog.
If there is something you are particularly interested in, a certain ride, attraction, event or dining experience, let me know. I will make sure I do a review of it if I get a chance to experience it.
I am already loving the deals we got from our travel agent! He's always good about keeping us to speed on discounts and even when there's a free hotel night somewhere. I &hearts my travel agent!
Well, it's been about 3 weeks since I announced the winner of my book giveaway and they never contacted me. They left no useful information when they entered either. I am officially forfeiting their win.
I suppose if I were to review and give away ipods or something, those who enter would actually check back to see if they've won? LOL
Well, Spring has sprung and it's time to start planning vacations! Where are you going? What do you have planned? I love hearing from my readers!
Besides Disney, we may check out these Outer Banks rentals for a weekend getaway this summer. I would love if it was just CJ and I but I know I'd miss the kids much too much!
Disney is definitely our 'big vacation' this year!
I know this sounds like a no brainer but if you shop for things when they're typically out of season, you'll get a better deal (usually)
For instance, we're big into football here. I found some awesome deals on NFL apparel for women at GameTimeUSA.com so of course I had to snag up some Steelers gear!
Think about it, when are sales most prominent? usually AFTER the event or season! So hey, stock up!
I have had way too much going on recently! We decided to remodel the boys' room and that turned nightmarish for a few days. All the Disney plans are set, except the details - I still need to sit down and make a list of what we should definitely make sure we see and do. I started a new blog just for Disney talk, check it out: Family Disney Vacations - I'll be posting to it via my Blackberry while we are on vacation!
Let's see, I'm still helping to plan a wedding and the bride to be decided to check out how other people have their wedding set so she checked out some celebrity sites and then did a search for wedding planners southern California figuring those SoCals do things better. She got some cool ideas and wants me to help her figure out how to implement them.
The book giveaway I did was cool but the winner never contacted me! So, now what do I do? Guess I keep the book?
My old coffee maker died and I was devastated! Seriously, I did not get to have any coffee yesterday morning and whoa, that was weird!
CJ felt my pain, so when he went out yesterday to shop round for things to repair the door I broke, he picked up this little beauty for me!
It's a Cuisinart DCC-2000 Coffee Maker - I LOVE IT! It's 'on demand' so there is no pot. it brews the coffee and the coffee remains in the reservoir. When I want a cup of coffee I just place my cup under it, push the handle and viola, hot coffee! The little gauge at the top tells me when I am getting close to empty.
This coffee maker works perfectly. It has auto shut off too, that is something I definitely need!
We're getting ready to go back to the Happiest Place on Earth - next month already! I am really looking forward to this upcoming vacation. CJ had been talking about planning Vegas vacations instead of Disney vacations but I say, for now, while our kids are young, Disney is the place to go!
So many people think that Disney is just for kids but I have to disagree, check out the view from our room on our last trip:
This is the beauty of the entrance of the Polynesian Resort:
Now, I would love to go to Vegas some day but for now, I'm all about the Mouse!
Since having to help plan a wedding, I've seen these benchmark rings and they are gorgeous!
Benchmark began more than 40 years ago and their focus has always been to become wedding band specialists. They have certainly met that goal and they continue to uphold their standards.
Man, I wish I had one of these rings to give away! If you're looking for a quality wedding band for your man, you can find this ring at Titanium-Jewelry.com They have a huge selection and you ca see each product in high resolution pictures and in video!
Since this was my first giveaway I wasn't sure just how to go about things. I asked for people to promote my giveaway - that was the only requirement to being entered, yet so many people just commented and didn't promote. This time, eh, I entered everyone.
I really love the fashion sense of maternity clothes these days.
Being pregnant sometimes meant to women that they were not only going to gain weight and lose themselves - they'd lose their fashion sense as well. This is not true!
I've looked at all the clothing Due Maternity has to offer and they not only have style, they have sensibility. The clothes are not over the top yet they're trendy enough that people will still notice YOU not just 'pregnant' you.
Today at 5 pm EST the Book Giveaway will wrap up. I will announce the winner Saturday morning and as soon as contact is established, I will send the book out.
it was fun holding a giveaway on this blog - it was my first giveaway and I can assure you, it won't be my last! I'd love to be contacted by a place like Berkline - then I'd be able to try out and keep some sweet home theater seats!
I worked in the medical field for several years before becoming a stay at home/work at home mom and when I say the lab coats I had to wear were very uncomfortable, I speak from experience.
The lab coats I had to wear were unisex and very boxy - definitely not comfortable or flattering. I had always wished there would be a lab coat made more for a woman and now there is. Too late for me to enjoy but for any woman who is in the medical field, Medelita makes women's lab coats that not only fit perfectly but are comfortable.
This is such a huge deal for women. No more wearing boxy, unflattering lab coats. Finally, something stylish!
I have been a bit overwhelmed with planning our upcoming Disney vacation, work has been busy - which is definitely a GOOD thing and recently I have been hit with a surge of reviews! It's so awesome when people/companies contact me to review their product or website. In fact, don't forget about the book giveaway, Internet Dating Is Not Like Ordering a Pizza - that contest ends this Friday!
Being submerged n the online world, it's no wonder I didn't notice lights just dying around here! First it was the light at my computer - but it was no big deal, I sit here during the day and then work from my laptop, comfortable on my sofa at night. Then it was a bulb in my daughter's room - but she told me like 3 days after it happened. I really noticed when the light in the bathroom went out! So, it looks as though I will have to add light bulbs, or maybe some new lighting in general, to CJ's 'honey-do' list. I know how lovely discount lighting fixtures can be and how easy on the wallet they are!
I also know I MUST get back to reviewing my coffee! I have January and February to do - good thing I wrote my opinion down on paper!
