That is the question CJ asked last week when we went out to
dinner at Red Robin for my daughter's birthday.
He ordered a pasta dish and as soon as he took his first bite he pulled a piece of wire out of his mouth. He immediately flagged down our waitress. When she came over to our table, he asked, in a snarky kind of way, "Is this
supposed to be in my food?" To my amusement, she responded in the same tone, "Umm, noooo, I don't believe so." Anyone who knows CJ knows he was NOT amused, but I was, Hahaha. Not at the fact that he had what appeared to be part of a
Brillo pad in his food, but at our waitress's attitude.
Yes folks, it was determined that CJ's pasta meal came complete with not only a side of bread but also part of a Brillo pad that is used to scrub the dishes. Now, I completely understand things happen, but this???? Seriously? HOW does part of a scrubby remain on a plate after being 'washed' and then get food placed on it? I can't wrap my brain around this one.
In any event, CJ got a new meal and he didn't pay for either of them. The manager, who was very embarrassed about the incident, as he should have been, came over and spoke to CJ and apologized.
All in all, I don't think this incident will prevent us from ever eating there again, I mean, it certainly was nothing like our
horrible experience at Bennigan's - or the
awful meal CJ got at Applebee's but it is definitely something we won't forget!
