While we were visiting family, we took a day and went to the Cleveland Zoo. The kids really enjoyed the zoo. The weather was awesome, although, it had rained earlier that morning and we were afraid it would stay rainy all day, but it didn't!

There was a nice breeze but it was still on the hot and humid side. I even noticed a few pimples rear their ugly heads when we got home! Damn sweat! Maybe it's time I give Pronexin a try!

We spent the entire day at the zoo and by about 5pm I was the one who was really tired! There were a few exhibits we didn't get to see but that just means we'll have to go back another time!

We took a quick trip to visit CJ's family over the weekend. Those trips are nice - in the respect that CJ and I spend most of the drive chatting. We wound up talking about 'adult' things this time. We discussed making a will, checking to see if we can find better life insurance - which I suggested looking at online life insurance as sometimes that is where the best deals are. We also talked about who would raise our children should something happen to both of us.

I know it's not the happiest conversation but, I dunno, we're both feeling older - not that you can't die young, but I am sure you know what I mean. I think this all started when we found out we were going to have to take a trip to Hawaii in the spring. Both of us on such a long plane ride, leaving ur children behind for a week. Yea, I don't think we'll be going!

Oh yes, Olivia again. Her daddy gave her a new nickname - Lil Mis-Behavin' because she's been misbehaving lately.

She has gotten a bit bossy and argumentative, not only with the boys but with me as well. I really hear it a lot now that the basement is finished and she and the boys play down there. They play 'school' and she is always the teacher - go figure.

We have on piece of classroom furniture, a school desk. This one is older and has the seat attached and the top of the desk lifts up - you can store books and necessities inside it. It has been in our family for years and CJ is currently refinishing it. I'll have to post photos of it when it's done.

I'm sitting here watching So You Think You Can Dance and thinking about Olivia and how she was in dance last year and loved it until she realized she'd have to be in a recital.

She still talks about dance and lately she's talked about gymnastics and expresses a desire to try again. Ever time we go past one of those odd shaped steel buildings she brings this up. (The Parkettes are in a building like that) However, when I bring up getting her lessons, she immediately clams up.

She is so shy and lacks confidence and I am trying to figure out a way to help her wiht this. She'll be 7 in March. Any ideas?

I've been busy! We've been remodeling our basement, which is now finished! Yayaya! See pictures here: Basement Remodel

I also recently got word that CJ won the T-Mobile PEAK Award and we are to go to Hawaii next March for a week - an all expense paid trip that I don't want to go on - but since I thought we had to go I figured I better get bathing suit ready so I have been asking around to find out which are the best diet pills to help with weight loss. - Nothing like the pressure of a Hawaii trip to make me want to shed pounds!

Plus, we are definitely going to Disney World next May so I have already begun plotting and planning that trip! Life has been so exciting lately!

I was just whining about my ugly kitchen sink in my 'My Thoughts My Life' blog.

We just spent so much money remodeling our basement so I know there is no way we can afford a kitchen revamp, but we can afford a sink revamp with this cool Grohe faucet:

What do you think? I think it is pretty awesome! I am sure I can get CJ to agree this is what we should go with!

As a mom of 2 boys so close in age (14 months apart) I always look for kids clothes that are not only cool looking but that will last as well. See, Wyatt normally wears the clothes that no longer fit Dante. This is why I need to make sure I am getting my money's worth when I buy boy clothes.

Before you start thinking poor Wyatt never gets brand new clothes, let me tell you, yes he does. However, I will admit that he gets new outfits usually only on birthdays and at Yule.

I have finally found an online site that has excellent clothes at great prices, Naartjie.com - I am truly impressed with not only their selection but the durability of the clothing as well!

I highly recommend this site!

Our basement remodel should be done sometime this week, which means we need to furnish it. I have been thinking about just getting most of the kids' toys down there and and of course a tv with DVD player. I have also thought about looking at these PS3 players but I am not sure if my kids are old enough yet.

They are almost 4, almost 3 and 6. I know there are age appropriate games for the PS3 but I am wondering if I should just forgo any sort of video game console?

Thoughts?

I have had some doosey reviews lately, haven't I? it's a shame they were bad experiences! I need to regroup and find some good things to write about!

The basement remodel we're doing is going rather well. We have an awesome contractor doing the work and well, CJ is helping too so between the 2 of them, things are looking fantastic! Here are photos of the progress so far:

Looks like another week of work is left and then we'll be done! In other news, my niece graduated from nursing school and is now considering becoming a doctor! Looks like I can start looking into getting her a doctors lab coat as a gift because it seems she may one day be a doctor!
